Dog agility is fantatstic fun and we are delighted to be associated with the Klix4K9s dog agility club run by Hannah Mitchell.

Not only is agility a great way to ensure your dog has a good basic obedience training, it is an excellent chance for them and you to have fun and meet like-minded people (and dogs!). And as an added bonus you can both keep the extra pounds off your hips!

We set up the Agility Club with Hannah in 2003, and thanks to her great enthusiasm and skill as a teacher, as well as the huge energy and loyalty of her pupils, very shortly we had 80 members, ranging from beginner to competition standard, and from 11 years old to ... well... very old!

The club has now come of age and has developed into Klix4K9s, and is run full-time by Hannah. We are very pleased to sponsor the club.

Hannah and Gem

In March Gem competed at Crufts 2006, and in May she won a championship class ticket (Challenge Certificate) which entitles her to run every year at Crufts in the championship class.

She then qualified for the Olympia Finals in December 2006 (covered by British Eurosport) and for the Agility World Championships 2006 in Basel (Switzerland) as part of the GB team.

She has also been invited to compete at Discover Dogs in Novenber 2006 and invited to represent GB at the AKC championships in Long Beach, California in December 2006.

In August she qualified for the Dogs In Need Medium Senior classic finals and came 3rd winning a rather nice crystal decanter!

She has had numerous placings and 1st places this season which is fantastic as she is now in a new height catagory with larger dogs due to the new rule changes in 2006. She is one of the smallest in her catagory and has still managed all this success even against the bigger collies. What a phenominal little poodle she is!
